Hotel Stay

This is the hotel we stayed in, traveling with Shelby and stopping when we are tired can be difficult. Not all hotels allow dogs, but this one did and it had a great view of this little pond. The rooms had twig furniture. It was a nice stay.

We stopped at the Alta Pass and bought some jam. The apples are not ready yet, so we were not able to get some. This is a great family owned farm, they bought it and left all the trees natural, that's why they look so gnarled. It has great history. We've taken there hay ride in the past.

We stopped at this pulloff and walked down to the bridge, it was a nice walk with a beautiful view.

We left for our vacation on July 3rd, we were heading to Roanoke VA to visit family. We jumped on the Blue Ridge Parkway and these are some of our stops. We had lunch at this pull off. Mom and dad rode with us, so we had the truck pretty packaged, we had a storage rack on top and one on the back. We also took Shelby with us so we had to bring her doggie kennel. It was a nice ride and the weather was nice.

Day on the lake

Richard took the boys and Shelby out to the lake. They did a little wakeboarding but were both real tired, between working on the land and there cars. Shelby dove in the water once, she really wanted to be with everyone in the water. She went a good ways down, but did come back up. Later she wanted to get back in but did not want to dive again. They all had a good time, and came home wore out.

Car Show, Chad and Casey

We went to a car show today. It was a small show, with just a few cars. We drove our Cobra, mom and dad drove their Corvette; Chad drove my mustang with everyone else in it. I didn't get any pictures of the cars, but did get a picture of Chad and his girlfriend Casey. It was extremely hot out, but we did have a good time.

Shelby's first Vet visit

I took Shelby to the vet today and she checked out well. No problems. She now weighs 12.4lbs. She has gained a pound since we picked her up. She is now 8 weeks old.

Visit to Roanoke

We went to visit family in Roanoke for Memorial Day. Mom and dad were already up there, so we surprised them. Linda and Rick both go to drive dad's vette, they enjoyed it. Linda has always like them.

Shelby did real good and enjoyed visiting everyone and seeing new things. Everyone liked her real well. It was a long 5 day weekend, but we enjoyed it.

Chad's Mustang

This is the work Chad has done to his car since the accident, we are still waiting on the insurance company to get money to fix it.
