Our trip to Beaufort, SC

On our way down to Beaufort we stopped at the old Sheldon church. I was able to get a few shots of this beautiful old church before the rain tried to drown us. It was a very nice trip down. We decided to take the four day before picking Kyle up from his summer camp to take some time for ourselves and go somewhere we've never been. Since Beaufort was not too far from our drop off and pick up point of getting Kyle that's where we chose to go.

We rented a cute little cottage near the base. It was a converted workshop, the colors where a light green. It was soo cute.

This is a walk around the Beaufort port. We spent some time walking and sitting in the swings watching the sun set.

We took a carriage tour and hear the history of the town and saw all these old wonderful houses that date back to the 1700's. The homes are all wonderful, I can just imagine the town in it's heyday.

This is a fort built to protect the islands, it is closed currently, but will be opening soon as a museum.

Before we left we looked up any fellow Cobra owners and had a chance to go visit Norman who lives in Lady Lake, an island just over the bridge. It was nice to talk with him, his family has lived in that area all his life.
